Cardsave is a member of the WorldPay Group, the UK’s largest card processor.
How it works
When Cardsave (via Streamline) process a payment, the system will first check the card number and contact your bank for authorisation of payment. At this stage, presuming there is sufficient funds, your bank will accept the payment and will freeze the requested amount. This will then come off your available balance.
Only after Cardsave get this authorisation, can they complete the CV2 (the last 3 security numbers on the back of your card) and address security checks, but if these fail, then the system will not allow the transaction to take place.
Billing Information
Please enter the address to which your card statement is currently sent. It is essential that you keep your Card Issuer informed of any changes of address. Your billing address must match the address held by your Card Issuer exactly.
Errors
If your card fails your bank check, then we can not help. Please contact your bank or card provider.
However, most transaction failures show “Card declined: AVS Policy”. This means that your card is OK but failed on confirming your address and/or postcode. If this occurs, please double check that the billing details you have provided is the same as registered with your card provider. The details will be found on your card/bank statements.
If your details are correct but your purchase still fails, please contact us as we may be able to resolve the problem.
3D Secure
This is an extra security level used by Visa & MasterCard. If you are enrolled, it will ask you for an additional password known only to you. This stops stolen or cloned cards being used for on-line transactions. You do not need to be signed up for 3D but it is highly recommended.

A purchase has failed but the bank/card provider shows the money has been taken from your account.
You have not lost your money. It is just on hold and will be refunded as we are not able to collect it. It should be back into your account within 2-5 working days depending on your account.
